There is a non telegram link for those of us who dont want to use telegram?

It will be on the apollo-computer website soon :)

We released this early as a gift to the Amiga community at Easter, before core R6 was ready for release. So we have hosted on the friendly Vamped Amiga channel so people can get it immediately from there, if they wish.

"Telegram is a great app, should install it :)"

Lots of reasons prevent it .. unfortunately .. so its a non-starter.

Great, Kenji, thanks and congratulations, this looks and feels glorious!

I cannot move my ship, though, with the shift key, it only moves a small bit and then stops.

Also, I get quite a few errors while extracting the .lha in the V4.

If the ship can't move with keyboard, then the game has 'detected' the USB gamepad mode and has switched to that. I presume you have an older core - you may need to upgrade it.

Errors in the lha is normally symptomatic of CF writing issues. I suggest unpacking to RAM:, and then copying to CF or running directly from RAM (though your profile file will then be stored in RAM, so perhaps copy it to your CF later after finishing, if you wish). Improvements to the IDE driver in the latest core should reduce these errors.

Great, I removed the gamepad and now everything works perfectly!

I downloaded and extracted twice to RAM:, same problems. :(

Some feedback about the game.
The controls feel great, once you get to grips with them, and the various evasive manouevers feel very satisfying! The enemy AI was very good, when they ganged up on me, although I could cheese them around corners.

I loved the graphics style and the overall aesthetic and I cannot believe this is an Amiga game! The looped music drove me around the bend after a while, though, I hope it will be expanded/changed. I also loved the tutorial and the kids mode, wow, guys!

Some times I got stuck in the scenery, though. Also, the collision detection with the big, purple, corona baddies was suspect lots of times.

I had some slowdowns too, even without enemies on-screen (in V4), but nothing game-breaking.

The game definitely needs a map (or different, more linear level design), though, since the levels are big and lack any landmarks. Endlessly backtracking an empty, samey level looking for the keys sucks the fun out of the gameplay for me.

I also didn't understand what I gained with the level-up, maybe it could be more explicit?

This looks like a great game is in the works, congratulations!!

Hey Quetzal;

Is there a chance of shoehorning this down for us lowly A500/600 Vampire card owners to get a look? ;)

Would love to check this out.

Thanks for the valuable feedback, manos. Everything in the game is 'alpha', and there is a lot of work to do. The levels are designed to simply give a feel for the gameplay. Implementing the music better is high on the list, and so is the addition of a map. Just between you and me, the <ahem> 'level-ups' do..... nothing yet ;)  But they are fun to collect...

TBH, it is designed for the V4 featurelist (such as large RAM, 16-bit audio etc). However... I didn't realise until after release that it actually does load on a V2/V1200. There are errors in rendering, and keyboard entry is broken with continual key presses, but it does run (slower). Unfortunately, I have no legacy hardware to debug on, and any time spent on this would detract from time spent on the game itself, which is already 18 months of spare time.

I should be the one to thank you, for the amazing game for our beloved Vampires!

I just finished all three levels, so some additional feedback is that the hidden passages are not very easy to discover and getting stuck in the scenery while searching is not very enjoyable. Maybe there could be some subtle visual indication? ;)

I adored the little touches, such as the fossilized WB disk! <3

And I "hated" the green coronablobs in the last level that do not follow you easily, so as to be lured in the manossg ambush! Great stuff!

Because some of the gamepad keys didn't work (in Coffin OS 58). :/ And, tbh, even if they worked, I would rather play this on keyboard, but this is a personal preference. :)

... There are more than the fossilized WB disk floating around...

... and there is a subtle indicator for the hidden passages - you have to look hard at the walls. I didn't want it too obvious. Also, you will notice they reside right beside Tyrannosaur bones... ;)

Ahh, this is a core thing. Yes, the gamepad requires core R6. It will work on any OS with core R6.

Kid Chaos is pretty close to Sonic and shows that the Amiga can pull of games like that...
An A1200 should have absolutely no problems running Sonic.

Thats fair enough.

I wouldnt want any 'feature creep' to get in the way of your progress to a (by all accounts) great finished V4SA game!

BTW: Thanks for your help with the code snippets ;)
