Strange Problem - Slow Refresh of Windows

Hi folks,
I've got a strange problem with Coffin/WB.
Because I wanted to create more partitions on the 32GB card, I removed the Work partition from Coffin, divided the rest of the card into three partitions. I changed the screen resolution to 640x256 (waiting for a new monitor), but there was a strange problem. Windows under WB refresh very slowly when moving / closing. Icons are displayed quickly. The only thing I changed in this installation was the removal from WBStartup AutoUpdateWB and one more program related to WB (I don't remember name now). SAGA drivers installed, everything works correctly, except for slow window refresh. Does anyone have any idea what this could be due to? I have FBlit installed.

What Vampire Model do you have?
Do you use AMIGA video out on the Vampire or on the AMIGA Mobo?
If you use AMIGA Mobo = PAL, how many planes has your screen (colors)

Hi Gunnar. I'm using Amiga RGB, Vampire 600 v2, PAL 640x256, tried with 8 and 16 colours - the same.

Its not easy to see from remote what your problem is.

Of course, it should be understood that the AMIGA 600 Mainboard can maximum display 16 colors in 640 screen-resolution.
This means refresh in 16 colors will always be very slow on Amiga Workbench on A600.
Using the Vampire video-out will always be a lot faster.

Do you show a picture in the background of the workbench?
If yes, then you can try to turn this of in /prefs/wbpattern
maybe turning this off will speed up the refresh.

No, i've disabled picture in background.
I think that the window refresh is slower than when I used Furia 020 :/
I will try on a clean WB install and see if the problem persists.
Thanks for now for help.

Do I understand you right - the refresh was fast and good at first.
Then you changed stuff on the Workbench and this made it slower?

What happens when you boot without SS ?
To get a "clean" WB ?

How is then the refresh?

Allright, i've just managed to connect my A600 with DVI at 1280x800 and it's working like a charm.
Now, i've got antoher issue, but i think it's good to make a new topic for that.
