I have a A500 and without the Compact flash card inserted I see the 3.10 boot screen.
If i insert the card i get no display.
(if i plug in the DIGITAL-VIDEO to the vampire i can see the desktop)

Something I'm missing?

Sounds all good to me.
Sound like your WB is set in prefs to put out on DIGITAL-VIDEO.
This sounds normal.

What is your problem?

I guess it depends on what is on the card. If the OS is setup to run SAGA/RTG it's going to output on the DIGITAL-VIDEO. you would need to switch back to OCS/ECS if you want RGB output.

Reading through the old posts i see that coffin blanks out the normal output and preffers the DIGITAL-VIDEO.
I opened the little icon at the bottom that looks like a game controller and opened several games. IGame sits saying "running...."
I thought i read somewhere that some software uses the standard amiga output so wondered if that was my problem.
Seems not ... maybe...
A little stuck.

With the Gold 2.X cores anything that runs OCS/ECS still uses the RGB output. WB with Coffin defaults to DIGITAL-VIDEO via the RTG graphics.

For what it's worth I use this to allow me to run both the RGB and the Vampire's H.D.M.I. output to a single H.D.M.I Input on my TV on my A2000.

  EXTERNAL LINK

On my V600 setup I have an the RGB through a VGA adapter going to a 15khz capable Monitor and the Vampire output going to the H.D.M.I input of that same Monitor.

Two different ways of approaching having both outputs on a single monitor.

Ok so its just IGAME that hangs.
If i load the game manually it switches nicely to RGB
(2 monitors worked a treat)

Thanks all

Thanks for the info Roy.
How do you turn on RGB from Coffin?
(So i can have them both RGB and H.D.M.I)

  Thank you.

Well generally you just need to run an application that uses OCS/ECS... in the case of WHDLoad/iCade you need to remember to click the box that opens after launching the game to actually launch it. then it should be seen on the RGB output.

The other thing you could do is just switch the WB to the RGB output using the screenmode tool in prefs. But you will be stuck with OCS quality desktop.
