Videos and Many Games Not Working In Coffin

Hi All,

I recently installed the latest Coffin release on my A600 Vampire V2 (Gold 2.11 core).  Previously, I just had WB 3.1 running on there.  Now I'm having trouble playing ALL videos with the Coffin release (I get sound, no graphics).  Many games (i.e. SimCity, Risk, Seven Cities of Gold) also won't play (black screen).  I'm using WHDLoad through the included default front end on Coffin to launch them.  They're not locking up the Amiga -- I can still HELP key exit out.  Just a black screen on the Indivision VGA and Vampire DIGITAL-VIDEO outputs.

Do I need to manually do the SAGA/RTG install?  Is my assumption that Coffin contains all the necessary SAGA drivers flawed?

If it matters, it's also got an Indivision ECS installed.  Monitor displays the ECS splash screen fine if I switch it to VGA mode.  I've also tried the composite output while trying to play games, same results.

Just recapped, but I can't imagine that matters since the OS and many games are working fine.

Probably a newbie question, but I can't find anything in the forums...

Thanks!

Scott

Hmmmm.....

Could be.  I didn't find that post, wrong keywords I suppose.  Thanks for the link!  I'll see what version of the Indivision I have when I get home and see if I can work through it or remove the Indivision to see if the problem goes away.

There is an updated Indi 1.9 tool to support the Vamp

A new experimental version is here:

With information provided by Gunnar, we're now using a different mirror of the chip registers that are supposedly available even if a Vampire is installed. Since we do not own a Vampire, we need your feedback about this.

Reported in forum:
Version 1.9 of the Indivision ECS V2 config tool works fine on my A500 Rev 8a Vampire 500 V2+ with the 2.11 core. Happy I am....

Black screen but everything else functional sounds like an incompatibility between your LCD and the P96 screenmodes.

You guys were right.  Without the Indivision, everything works fine.  But that means pumping video out through the composite or SCART, which is not optimal.

I have an Indivision V1, so I guess I'm just out of luck?

Sadly yes, there will NOT be an update tool there to support Vamp.

Choices are Indi V2 OR waiting for GOLD3 and full RTG native out.

There is a working INDI-1 tool.
We (the Vamp team)- did patch the tool.
