Anyone have a link to the older coffin OS r52? Just got my vampire and its only got core 2.5, and I'm pretty sure I'll have to wait for 2.11 till its on the white list.

Edit: on double checking looks like it would be a much earlier version I'd need, I'll hold off and use my OS 3.x CF card till I can upgrade to Gold 2.11.

33p is what ya need I believe.

Its possible to find 33p and similar via user uploads, best place to look/ask Vampire users Facebook Group

Yes, offering an "easy to download" link to an older coffin, in sync with core2.5 (that's still seem to ship with the current V2s?) would be a very good thing.

  That would alleviate frustrations of:
1- having the only coffin available online (in an obvious manner) failing not boot with your vampire, because your card is still core 2.5.
2- then you google around and realise you need to flash your card to 2.10 in order to boot that latest coffin.
3- you flash it - but then you realise you're stuck in black and white until the next core release due to the serial protection!

Happened to me, and I am still unsure where I can find older versions of coffin. Hopefully 2.11 is around the corner for me anyway (with my serial whitelisted, yay!) - but just thinking out loud for the next wave of customers!

Looks like 2.11 will be out shortly, the wiki has been updated with details on it under 'Latest Core' but as yet no files have been added. Only give the details '5836 GOLD2.11 2018-10-12'

Surely someone still has the .torrent files somewhere in their downloads folder? I know I am still seeding the last three versions so they should be downloadable but I do not have the .torrent files any longer.

Obviously the Apollo Team cannot provide these files anywhere since coffin is not an official Apollo distro and it contains copyrighted software.

I offered you the help, yet so frustrated.

Coffin website always offered latest version only.
Too bad people cant stand B/W for some time.

Most of you have been around for a long time on vampire, and assume that new users will know the same things from day1.
Having the new cards shipped with core2.5 (in color) when the corresponding (older) coffin is not around for download is pretty confusing. Coffin is still the obvious choice to jumpstart installs and I felt compelled to flash (scary) to match what was available online then only to realise I would be capped in b&w for weeks.
You can learn things from everyone, anytime, anywhere. New users with fresh eyes giving (sometimes silly) suggestions can be a good thing!

True, but what is missing from the pic, is that this is anti piracy meassure as Cyclone FPGAs were sold as Vampires illegally, meaning someone else was gaining profit.

Other option would be to take cores download offline and send registered versions per users request only.

There is no 3rd way now, hope v4 will change all that.

The way things go slow in Amiga land, month or even two is a weekend.

In this peculiar cases they are affected by higher priority of 2.11 and GOLD3 releases - which will include serials but need more testing before go public. It was way faster in past. So certain circumstances should be included.

And last thing to be understood - this is no pro company (like any in Amigaland is). This means all communication with team - even via official channel might be "slow" in real world product support expectations (and even there there is a 7-15 days allowed legally for reply). Fastest one is Chat with Apollo team.

Its always advised to use latest cores in pair with latest Coffin, or latest core and amigaOS + latest SAGA drivers.

anddd .... 2.11 core is out!
