Remembering discussions back in the Natami days... Are there any plans for new monitor files with higher res modes in AGA?

Have a vague recall that someone did manage to reversengineer a monitor file for 800x600 for natamis "SAGA" chipset.

Not sure if there is ehough programs that doesn't support RTG where it would be usable.

Given that these old AGA monitor "HighGFX" drivers are mostly pure hacks (at 22kHz sync), I highly doubt they will be supported - bear in mind, that we have to deal with PAL DIGITAL-VIDEO signal and every deviation from the standard timings will result in a signal loss (in 720x576 PAL that is) on the receiver end. Then again, moving into RTG and AGA (at the same time) terrirory will render this problem irrelevant - 800x600 can be easily obtained with VampireGFX P96.

As i said the Natami team had a monitor driver that used the new AGA features in that core.. Not "hacks" thats needed on the real chipset.

Offcourse using RTG is the best option.. IF the program supports it. Thats also why i said "Not sure if there is enough programs that doesn't support RTG where it would be usable."

DPaint, Brilliance?

The final version of "Part 2 Horizons" that was released a week ago. Slight changes to the spaceship flyby sequence and other fixes. Doesn't require FPU anymore. GOLD3 beta (rev. 5282) at 92MHz.

"Relic" is a classic and it was one the first demos I tried. Unfortunately GOLD3 betas can't handle it very well as of yet (partially it's working, but looks far from perfect). That said, you can be sure that as soon as it looks OK it will be recorded by yours truly :) Watch this space.

OK, this one is an absolute must-watch :) Ephidrena is one my of favourite demogroups ever and it always makes me happy to share another well-crafted, properly designed and well working production of theirs. Enjoy "J" from 2000.

Yeah, I agree.

Ephidrena/Loaderror got the best style, even at minimal hardware.

And the music is so different/top notch!
