Here is more detailed and colourful guide, whose plain copy that was. EXTERNAL LINK It should autoinstall, device manager look is check.
On Windows, open the Device Manager and ensure that the USB Driver for USB-Blaster is correctly installed. If it is NOT correctly installed, then select the .INF driver information file from the Quartus setup archive. |

First of all, a very big thank you to the Apollo/Vampire team ! I tremendously enjoy my card. :) On a practical side, has the x11 and x12 EXEs been silently dropped, and should we thus settle for the available x10 EXE, or will there eventually be faster cores available, justifying a few more days of waiting before flashing the 2.9 core ? Thanks.

| Flashing .JIC does not update ver string. VControl shows ver string of the EXE updater that was run last time.

| Is there an EXE version of the V500 2.9 X11 Core at all please? Would like to install it without taking the top off my Amiga if possible. :)

| on my A500 v2+, what is "CC0" in the early startup boot menu? is that the route by which SD card booting was going to be enabled?also, all this talk of "squeezing an FPU" into the cyclone3 (via 64bit as opposed to 80bit registers etc.), does that mean that the v3 core will have a more "optimised" FPU in order to fit AGA in there as well, or is AGA pretty much in there already, it just needs a few final tweaks before being effectively switched on? just a couple of little questions that have been on my mind - nothing serious

Because the Hard Drive controller is like an A600 Hard Drive controller chip, the Kickstart image thinks there is a PCMCIA slot present as well. There is not.

Last I heard the AGA compatible Gold3 core won't be able to fit an FPU in there at the same time as the AGA core. You may find yourself switching back and forth between Gold2.x with FPU and RTG video only or AGA without FPU. A version 4 card will be needed for both to be active due to the size of the cores.

| that had better not be true as it will be truely dissapointing - I was under the impression that with some optimization Gold 3 will have AGA RTG and FPU? could somebody from Apollo Team Clarify?

This seems to be definite, another reason to get USB Blaster. So GOLD3 core for v4 will have it all, while v2 version will be AGA minus FPU and RTGAdam Whittaker wrote:

This was also my expectation, but at time FPU was squeezed, it was told the v2 FPGA is reaching its limits. Gunnar stated this same at his last Amiten interview - v2 users will have to go "back and forth with USB Blaster" depending on wanted features. And we are lucky its possible with FPGA.

| Samuel, it would be nice to know if your information on Gold 3 is accurate. It would alter plans for some of us in use of Vampire. I was hoping to use this in my A1000 which for one, has a broken rca jack that I can't seem to fix.If audio out thru hdmi, aga with more chip ram won't fix then I will keep it in the 500. That, and the one monitor solution is gone also, correct?

| I agree with david - I would like to know for sure as this would be a very clumbsy way of doing things as i would have to have different os installs for different cores!!! if this is the case I will not bother with AGA even though I have been looking forward to it as it will be too much trouble and no I wont have the funds for a new v4 so having both will be out of the question... I am a little worried now to be honest :s

| It was some time ago when I heard this from a team member so I hope that the news isn't totally accurate. There are a few discrepancies between your interpretations of what I've said and what you read between the lines: * RTG will be included in Gold 3 since it is part of SAGA. * If the Gold 3 core does NOT include hard floats, soft floats will probably still be available using the previous patches so software will still work at a speed penalty if it uses floating point. Sorry if I threw you off on those points.
