@Vojin

The hype mostly comes from users with unrealistic expectations, and those can virtually never be moderated.

Should developers/companies be forced to weight every word they utter cause of a few fragile snowflakes? I dont think so.

I understand the frustration. My interest tend to die down when waiting for new things. Usually in open source programs i do my own daily builds just to be at the bleeding edge. I´m looking forward to Gold 3 that includes AGA.

Its not that gold 2 is unusable. Its just that i dont have time to play around that much. But i would play around more if new things happened. Just because its exciting to see what changes.

As it is now i just chill and wait. Force yourself to not long for stuff that is not released :) And enjoy it when it comes.

Sometimes. But looking 6-12 months to a videos of feature unavailiable  to general public, quite essential (as AGA on OCS machines and unified DIGITAL-VIDEO outpout) just calls for it.

I don't understand the whole questioning about the core updates. 2.5 is already on a very good level where you miss very, very little.

That’s good Michael except we don’t even have a general release of 2.5, do we?

It is understandable that many are desiring the new updates when they are constantly being shown new features for many months.

i believe Gold 2.5 is an Experimental build with the last official release been GOLD 2 (3686) 2017-01-23.

Reading between the lines I believe that the team are trying to eke out all of the performance in the fpu they can.

Its still considered experimental, and while needed for miniMon, SDNet and some stuff, is not officially linked on Apollo accellls webpage download area (shows GOLD2 as last one).

That makes a bit fuzz for ApolloOS and SDNet users.
Surely, GOLD 2.7 release will make it all go away.
