Amiga 1000 with Vampire V2-500, Apollo Gold 3 team test core.
A1000, with 4 meg ChipRam, AGA, DIGITAL-VIDEO Video out with Audio.
Meet Pamela the new audio out custom chip.

  GOLD 3 Beta

Note the A1000 is loading game from SD card.
the A4000 is loading game over Samba share, this is why the load time is slower.
the comparison is to show the ChipRam and AGA are working on the Gold 3 core even on an A1000

Excellent!

I notice you have the lid on the Amiga does this mean that Kippers A1000 CPU slot adapter is ready?

I have had this setup for quite some time. well really since the V500 prototype.
all you need for an a1000 NTSC is 6-7 68000 sockets from digikey,
Part # ED3036-ND
and make a riser out of them, aside form that you will want a SDNET if you want ethernet in case, and DIGITAL-VIDEO adapter form kipper. the FFC thin cable one. route all of that out the side port for now.
I am working on a new back plate 3d print file that will allow all these ports.
should be done soon and will be shared.

Do you think kipper will start selling things again on his store.. I know I have tried a few times to contact him about some other items and have never got a response.. would be nice to know that we can get the HMDI adaptor from him but so far hes never responded to any sort of inquiry.

I presume you got that DIGITAL-VIDEO adaptor a long while ago too?

I have made a Video where you can see how I mount the V500 flashed with Gold2 into the A1000 (with piggy Board). It works great so far, but until Gold3 is released the machine only uses 512K Chip.

You basicly only need some 64 pin sockets.

Thanks for sharing Keith 8-)

Thats Awesome.

I know what that means, the Vampire will becoming out of my 500 and into my vanilla A1000
as soon as GOLD3 is GA.

I had better pull the old A1000 out and check her over.

Its not very likely that the Vampire would work in my A1000 with the PHEONIX board installed
as I am sure all the extra's on that would clash and even potentially electronically.!

Pity!

Still it will be Awesome to have an Original A1000 with that sort of power! 8-), especially if i can get Amikit X running on it. 8-)

Hi Chris,

I see you have a Wireless adapter plugged in to the Vampire expansion? Is that working?

The expansion header of v500+ does not work at this time.

Hi Keith,

I have ordered 6 of the IC Socket Risers from Digi-Key (Its all they had in stock)

Wondering, can you list some specific HW, I should order to build what is needed to create the SDNET connection, perhaps from Digi-Key as well as I have an account there now. 8-)

Reading through all the threads is not very encouraging re: obtaining the right stuff.

Thx
