Vampire On a Module

I know there was talk of being able to have upgrade options on future Vampire hardware so you can swap out the FPGA for a more powerful one later.

Is this still part of the plan and will all the logic be on one card with a carrier board that just provides the I/O ports?

If so I'm curious if the team would consider selling just the logic module along with documentation so that other developers can build products that aren't on the team's roadmap.

Excellent question.

As with open sourcing the core, providing a reference platform with the ability to modularize the hardware would open up a lot of possibilities.

Indeed some kind of FPGA slot was mentioned here in the forum. Although I'm not sure if the Team had confirmed anything.
But if a removable FPGA would be foreseen than logically some memory DRAM slots should be added also.
