Can I Connect An Exrternal Floppy Drive?

Quick question. Can I connect an external USB floppy drive to the Vampire V4 standalone and let Apollo OS read and write on it? OR even boot from Floppy?  this also regarding i am reading this:

For the V4SA, I suppose with a bit of work it's possible with a I2C interface, there have been other attempts to get real floppy drives to work with RPi setups and such... Someone with the skills to do so would need to spend time making this work, and I feel the Apollo Team members are tackling bigger things at the moment.

I have working floppy drives in SAGA mode now on my V4 Accelerators A500 (Firebird) and A2000 (Salamander) since that patch.
