Johan, you are a V4sa+ user that needs to go back like me (and others) to a more stable core. Like 7.4 or 7.3

Be aware that a mistake or shutdown when it is in progress 'bricks' your v4sa.
And it can only be recovered with a usb-blaster.

If you know how to use 'vampireflash' use CLICK HERE
else use this: CLICK HERE  Let it run and do nothing until it is completly finished.
After that power it off and wait a full minute before turning it on again.

Others should NOT do this!
You do not want a non functional vampire by making a mistake, right?

Beta cores are for beta testers.
The testers know where to get them.

Everyone else use alfa-cores.
Depending on the model card you have a different core is used.

The normal (alfa) cores can be found on the tab just right from 'forum', it is called 'download'
or here: EXTERNAL LINK
Older cores might be found here: CLICK HERE

All cards ship with the latest core.

Have a REV 3D is from 2021. I shall go back to Core 7.4. Can it also be used for Aros Caffeine  v140 and COFFIN R60.

I do not know.

But:
Al v4sa and v4sa+ can use core 7.3 & 7.4

I have also REV 3D from 2021.
7.3 and 7.4 both work perfect with the shipped os. (apollo-os-7.1 in my case)
I do not have other os, but i read 7.3 is most stable on any os.

You have to ask others for that.
Join the many users on EXTERNAL LINK . They can help you with al kinds of questions you might have.
There are also language specific channels.

My shipped with AROS R5 from 12 Jan 2021 on a Kingston 128GB CF card.

Don’t see nowhere ApolloOS R7.1 only ApolloOS R8.1 and R8.2. Hope that soon the Alpha 8747 Core coming out. For now I have a expensive unstable Vampire V4+ Standalone.

Core 7.3 freeze on ApolloOS R8.1, R8.2 , AROS Caffeine v140 and COFFIN R60. Must again use the almost dead 8736 Core. Can not downgrade it and not upgrade it.

The latest Beta core for STANDALONE is 8781.
Beta cores are shares for people interesting to test them in the Discord channel. Are you online in Discord?

Hallo Johan,

please note that test/developer cores are for testing new features.
For example test new improved 3D features.
Test cores will NOT improve stability over a release core.

If you have issues then talk to us in the support channel and please provide us more information about your setup, your install, the details of the problem, the used hardware etc  so that we are better able to help you.

Have chat with you on Discord. Many Vampire V4 users have the same issues. The ALPHA 8736 Core is very unstable. Hear good things about Core 7.4 with ApolloOS R7.1. Where can we download ApolloOS R7.1 see it nowhere. Or are we stuck with ApolloOS R8.1 and R8.2. And must we all wait for a new ALPHA Core. Like the Vampire V4+ Standalone but with a bad Core we all can better use a Raspberry Pi 400. Hope that the Vampire V4+ Standalone have a great further with a usable Core.

I tried to help you and we spoke for a long time.
As you will recall your issues were not reproduceable so far.
I asked you for more information to be able help you.
You promised me to send me more information 2 days ago.
I'm still waiting for more information.

Are you able to send me the test results/screenshots etc as promised?

From what you told me your problems are unique, of thousands of Vampire owner I have never heard about these problems before. We would like to help you but we need more information about your setup to understand this. I do not think that a beta core will help you.

Cheers
Gunnar

I see you here only, if i search, no post from you (Capt Redbeard#7376) on discord.
Why just chat with one if you can ask a complete community?
Ask/search in v4-series.

ApolloOS_R7-1.img_aug21_16gb.7z is 8gb in size.

Good luck Capt'n.
