Icedrake Video Output / Indivision MK2 Problem

Hey,

  i don't use Icedrake's RTG output.

Workbench flickered in laced mode, when i move the mouse or clicking the mouse.
I use the Indivision MK2 and the test over plain video output on A1200 creates the same problem.

  EXTERNAL LINK

The Blizzard MK IV does not have this problem. If I put the Icedrake back into the A1200, the workbench cannot be used.

AFAIK, this is only a problem of the 3.2.1 update.

If you use original Amiga OS 3.0, 3.1, 3.5, 3.9, or the update 3.1.4 or the new ApollOS then you will not see this issue.

I assume their will be a fix for this issue soon.

For testing I installed the ROM 3.4.1 and booted from floppy disk and tested the laced mode. The Icedrake runs wonderfully under AmigaOS 3.4.1. No screen flickering. :-)

Unfortunately, AmigaOS 3.2.1 does not work correctly with the Icedrake, at least as far as the flickering of the screen is concerned.

So Icedrake and A1200 not defective. Very nice. :)

Also, if I should be an isolated case, could you still take a look at it again to see whether my constellation is also causing this problem for you?

I experienced the very same problem with IndivisionAGA MK3 and OS 3.2 and 3.2.1, so it´s probably not isolated. I hope there will be fix available soon.

I mean of course 3.1.4 and not 3.4.1 :-)

I can verify that in Laced Mode, like PAL-HiRes is flickering on the ICE V4 Video-Out

But no flickering in Laced Mode over analogue RGB-Out, the D520 seems to filter Flickering out…

Tested on AmigaOS3.2.1, & i will try out AmigaOS3.1.4 to test Laced in some Days…
