I ordered a Firebird for my A2000. I more or less wanted it to replace my Blizzard and PicassoIV with MagicWB / kick 3.1.4.
I want to keep it stealthy ao I hope I can connect the hdmi out to my Commodore 1942 monitor with an DIGITAL-VIDEO to VGA adapter or is it wishfull thinking ?

Yes, you can do it, but result may depend from the frequencies hooked up from your monitor.
So, not all resolution can be available, but the most could be compatible.

Aren't most monitors have DIGITAL-VIDEO build into them anyways? I said DIGITAL-VIDEO not DIGITAL-VIDEO!
Uuuh...why is it transferring my DIGITAL-VIDEO to DIGITAL-VIDEO??

The SAGA chipset support a number of resolutions from 320x200 to 1280x720
Please note that the Commodore 1942 Monitor is not a real multisync monitor. The 1942 Monitor only supports two narrow sync values of 15khz and around 27-31 khz.
This might give you problems to show all resolutions.
