Note there is a new big box hybrid 68060/FPGA accelerator project in beta now, called the Z3660. Google it, beta boards are on sale soon. Would be interesting to see what the team thinks of it!

Don't get me wrong, I'd much prefer a proper Vampire in my 3000 - but after all this time with no update, maybe it's not meant to happen...

Does the vendor plan to produce any apps that can take advantage of 1,550mips... Where are the virtual synths, the virtual dsp's, virtual blitter, desktop streaming app, the dvd/avi movie player app.... ..

This is what some vendors dont understand, running Amiga classic apps on modern hardware means nothing (we're way pass that stage)... Getting classic Amiga to run modern apps (do modern things) is what we want. This is where the Apollo/Vampire team "Nails it" every time..... EXTERNAL LINK .. EXTERNAL LINK ...

  +10k Vamps sold and barely breaking 200mips... the Apollo team understand the need for apps/demos that are capable of showing off Vamp features....(forward thinking)..

The current 68k apps we have today dont require 1,550mips to run...

What is this vendors real intention here, vampire killer ?, storm chaser ?, or P5, make a name, make your money then cut out...(get something out the door before the market gets too crowded, "type of product")..
