| I have been a fan of and closely followed the Apollo accelerators journey for many years. In May 2020 after many months of saving money I logged interest in buying a V2 1200 and patiently have waited for my invitation to buy one. With the news that the V2 production is ending, I understand that this invitation will not be coming. I will admit that this is massively frustrating and highly disappointing news - I wish I had the money to have pre-ordered earlier. Having read that Igor is withdrawing and that it was a surprise to you too, I have no reason to complain. Still I have a question for the people like me, in the queue, who have been waiting over a year already. And I apologise in advance if this has been answered already, if so I have not seen it. Will the Apollo Team offer people still on the waiting list a priority purchase of an IceDrake V4? Roy

| I think the intention of the Apollo Team is to manufacture enough of the new cards to ensure that they will always be in stock, much like the current V4 Standalone, so that if you order one there won't be much of a waiting time. So when it comes to Icedrake, I wouldn't worry too much about being put on a waiting list that was as ridiculously long as it used to be.

| Hello Roy, I agree the long waiting time was the big problem. Its very important to us to fix this. Roy Griffiths wrote:

All people being on the waiting list already will get priority handling. Its very important to us to give our loyal fans the AC-68080 card they are waiting for so long already.

| Hi Gunnar, Thank you very much - I appreciate both the quick answer and positive action. I’m sure others will agree we all look forward to using the new accelerators and wish you luck with the next phase of development, Thank you all in the team for your superb work. Regards, Roy

| Just as a comment. A psychological and (not) technical downside of the new devices certainly is the fact that all V2-1200 owners have a nice device. But it's a dead end. I got mine, don't know, half a year ago? And the announcement of the new accelerators will it make drop in value (in both use and selling point). Now, it is still a nice device but a device that lives from upgrading due to the FPGA architecture and in particular the opportunity that the new devices offer due to the available additional 'space' they provide and possible upgrades that are expected due to the ongoing development of the core. I might still be interested in the new accelerators.Cheers.

Ah geez... this is getting beyond a joke. I have been on the waiting list here for V1200 since Feb/March 2020, after originally preordering with Vesalia nearly 2 years ago... I checked the site this week on the off chance of an update, found out that the V1200 is dead and I need to register interest in a new board*, did so, and unregistered interest in the V1200. Which, from reading this thread, appears to be a mistake. Can my email be re-registered as on the waiting list from March 2020, or do I have to go to the back of the queue again? *Why wasn't an email sent to people on the waiting list, informing them of all this?

| Same story here. Preordering V2 1200 with Vesalia October 2019. Expressed interest mid 2020 directly on Apollo. Then got my hopes up regarding Raptor (which is actually the ideal card for me). Now expressing interest in ICEDRAKE V4. Actually it feels I am back to square one. Just checked the website (http://www.apollo-computer.com) it shows you can order ICEDRAKE. If I click on the ICEDRAKE to order it, the V4+ standalone order page comes ?!?! Please Vampire Team improve your customer relation / communication. Meanwhile I play with the PiStorm, which got delivered 10 days after the purchase order.

I agree that this was not well done. The cards should have been sold to the people on the waiting list. I agree that tis is not in the interest of the Vampire fans. The Apollo-Team did not want this. This was a move done by Igor alone.

The Firebird and IceDrake can be only pre-ordered. The V4-SA is available and can be ordered. The V4 SA is in stock and ships immediately.
