Hi there.

Hopefully someone can help. My V600 wont start up. It gets to the splash screen and then just sits there, is it meant to play a little jingle? i can't hold down the mouse buttons and get access to the boot menu either, anyone got any ideas?

thanks

Many of the V600 problems are due to bad sitting of the accelerator in the 68000 CPU. I recommend you to double check that.

thanks for your input.  :)

it's not the way the card is seated, the card starts, it just .. stops again at the splash screen. if it wasn't seated right, it wouldn't start in the first place maybe? i can see the card, i can flash the card, the board is anchored down, it's just not working right :(

thanks anyway :)

Indeed, your Amiga can start and even load Workbench and games without the card being properly seated. In my case I got lots of stability problems.

I was able to fix them by sanding the socket and seating the card again, supporting the seating with a pair of screws.

Try to upgrade or downgrade the core using the JTAG Blaster.
Who made your card?

Hi there, just for my curiosity...
flashing power light? flashing keyboard caps light?
any output of the native comp/rgb video with the usual amiga startup colour flashes?
floppy drive seek chug noise?

i had a jammed up vamp a couple of times, and ended up doing a reflash...

but dependent on your version, may be worth investigating the power fix if it's an early board....
