as nice as your equipment is - its not really a good swap for a Vampire, perhaps try selling it on Amibay or Ebay and use the proceeds to procure a Vampire?

Your offer suspiciously falls under the "Too Good to be True" catagory :)

no, the offer is very real, no hidden stuff..  just want to change scene..

been using the x1000 alot recently. and had alot of fun. i also bought 97% of everything on sale in Amistore worth 250 dollars (what i payed)  will be included.

it may sound ridiculous, and it is. insane.  but, im getting old, and my interest is changing. not to talk about how i'm almost fainting when think about vampire standalone

I am also an ex x1000 user and could offer lower system: Nemo board with gfx card and 4GB RAM.

  Problems are:

  - Not the same bunch. Vamp crowd does not hold much interest in OS4 and PPC Linux
  - x1000 is felt left behind with no CFE uodates (ah what an ugly bootstraper, its weakest knee) and no MorphOS support. Also no ethernet OS4 support, no breaking 2GB barrier and even modern Radeons are not used to best of its abilities. Hardware first but software is nowhere to catch up.
  - Prepaid OS 4.2 is nowhere to be found and in OS4 much of x1000 potential remains unused and desired. So much of "OS4 dream machine" as it was promoted in "early encouter" days

Hardware is not bad per se, contrary quite expandable and nice full sized and fully integrated board, as seen in PPC Linux (where I am only disappointed by lack of integrated Linux support beside one Debian LTS rest is tricky to maintain as normal updates can render sys unusable in e.g. Ubuntu 17 PPC). Under one clean and complete Linux it can offer decent oerformance in Libre Office, VLC and Firefox, can be used as normal computer :)

My advice is to sell it to OS4 crowd and then use the funds to maximise V4 purchase (case, compatible keyboard and mouse, large card) as I am thinking over. Or build extreme V1200 system which is my best advice since it can offer Wi Fi via PCMCIA, Poseidon USB via clockport and AGA compatibility without waiting for SAGA core to mature compatibility.

In a dreamland, instead of XENA it would have FPGA and that would license Gunnars core. Petunia plus SAGA could offer both PPC transition and backward compatibility, but no one through that good.

I am :-)  I'm on Tabor wait list too.

But seriously, given the V4SA queue length (ca. 6 months) I consider the offer by NoXLar - DemoSceneLover as serious.

As a matter of fact, I'd consider the offer seriously if I hadn't sold my V4 in December, stated interest in March and got it back late September.

I wanna play now!

Too bad :) Well, while there be Amigans that want to try it all - its rarely that someone having Vampire SA would wish to trade it for x1000, its not all in value. But good luck! :)

With new polished MorphOS browser those old MacMinis G4 look more attractive then ever, as other genre example :)

My x1000 experience was quite bad, conparing promised to actual execution, especially the CFE and inability to initalize video signal from RadeonHD properly every time. Board is not so bad, Hyperion is dead slow in supporting and fixing.

Even in OS4 arena I wish I waited more and got x5000 020, no Altivec, less expand-ability, little less expensive and got Uboot and MorphOS.

Wake me when MorphOS x86 drops ..

granted I actually have two idle PPC Mac Minis .. but I dont want to go that route now.
