I've made a pre-order for a A500 V2+.
There was no quantity option?
How would I proceed if I want more than one?

Only one per customer at the moment got an answer from Renaud on the Apollo Facebook page:)
I understand but it's still tempting to upgrade my Amiga's :p

What if I placed my first expression of interest then went back later and did it again. Would that allow me to have more than one?

  Cheers from Oz

Hopefully they will not allow this. If there is a long queue of people wanting to get a board, it would not be nice of you to buy several boards which would cause others to wait longer to get their 1st board.
You can buy one and then when the initial queue has been processed, you should be clear to order another one. :-)
This also ensures that people do not buy boards simply to resell them for a profit on ebay..

Today on Epsilons blog which the Apollo team linked to on Facebook shows his install of the Vampire for the 500.

He was one of the willing ones to pay a premium on Ebay.

One point he made that others may wait months or "years" for this.
Does he have inside information? I know Majsta has said he was going for hand made ones again.

They can do what the want but should give some general time frame so others can make a decision on how they may want to upgrade their Amiga.

I'm not sure if Majsta intends to build all the V500V2+ cards himself from bare boards, or do what Kipper is doing with the V600V2 and get most of the building done for each batch by a board house then hand finish by adding connectors, programming and testing them.

I think the main point of his recent article "V500 V2+ Are we there yet?" is that he's not interested in an office job running a company. He wants to continue building things, that may be existing designs or new prototypes. Majsta is a very bright guy and I can't see him wanting to spend all his time scratch building V500V2's while the waiting list continues to grow faster than he can keep up.

Majsta recently wrote on Amibay in reference to V600V2 production "Ye, we are picking up with everything and after this mess there won't be any delays since we are organized differently now. You have some pictures on my site about those batches being done." So I think everything will be smoother with the V500V2+.

Plan is simple, I ll build about 100 cards on my pick and place machine, then kipper2k will continue. My goal is to do 100 cards before end of this year from then we will see but like I said I m not the one who will be building lot of cards.

Thanks for clearing that up Igor. As expected interest in the 500 is high, I hope the burden will not become to much for Brian and that more help to share the burden can be found if needed. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can do once you have more development time (still hoping to see a nice Vampire laptop one day).
