Hi, when i try to load the prefs program for Indivsion AGA on my V1200 it sais "HArdware not found". Indivision works but can't modify any screen modes. I have try it in coffin r54 and on a clean 3.1.4 install with rom flashed, and the results are the same.

I had same issue. I have to pull the card set the prefs and reinstate. It’s the same with a600 when I built it. But once set for your monitor unless you change monitor it’s set for good.

I have an IDIVISION AGA mk2cr and initially I had problems making it coexist with the V1200.
AGA side no problem, activated RTG the system was going very slow.
I had to format everything without reinstalling the INDIVISION software, in this way the two hardware coexist without problems.
So the problem is related to the software, but INDIVISION once set does not need it ... Remove any trace from the system and the card will still remain with the saved parameters.

Long time ago there was a project (by someone in Apollo team, I don't remember who) of an internal scandoubler vampire-tailored called 'parasite'. Is this project still alive?

Parasite was spoken of as stop-gap solution until GOLD3 arrives.

This was last thread about it EXTERNAL LINK

So for the Community FAQ does this simple text explain the above:

  a) Use Indi sw without Vamp to set it up
  b) Dont install any Indi related tools to a Vamp inserted system

All related to V1200 and AGA Indi

For ECS Indi, I believe there was a piece of SW done by team

The V1200 V2 Gold212 core has been updated to version B. Package contains a patch file for Indivision AGA MK2cr prefs program. It can also be downloaded from Aminet.

Thanks a lot.
This patch is very useful, it must be remembered that the Vampire is not alone.
The same for the Mediator would be appreciated.

I do understand importance since Mediator is most common PCI expansion on A1200, enabling AHI sound cards and w3d cards etc.

However, this one is way tougher to resolve.
The memory window of Mediator needs to be mapped with MMU, so once MMU is resolved (and that is not yet planned and highly unlikely for V2 500 and V2 600 due to FPGA constrains).

In my mind "workaround" would be to team up Mediator company and Apollo Team so existing Vamp MMU (not compatibile to old m68k designs, 080 is seen as MMU less CPU by old software) could be used for mapping. But that takes 2 partners and some user demand.

Hello Simo - thanks for the update. Is the core it self also updated, or is it only for Indysupport? Thanks

Patch works from Gold 2.11.

However, I recommend updating B-core to get improved turtle timing e.g. with WHDLoad "ExpChip" -local option.
