| Hello, Is it possible to put a DS3231 RTC module on the V1200 ? If yes, where exactly ? Thanks !

| I have RTC module in my A1200 plugged into the rtc port on the mobo and it works fine with the v1200

Good question. I want to reserve the ClockPort of the board to put a RapidRoad USB in it. But I would ask another question: -What can be connected to the Vampire 1200? -Can I connect an Arduino USB card to V1200?

| Thanks, I will try with the one in my A600. But like Juan above, I would like to keep it free for an USB Rapidroad, so it would be good to use one of the connectors available on the V1200 for RTC

| I was using an externally connected RTC before I've built myself an RTC module for the clockport (see here https://gitlab.com/HenrykRichter/flopicy). That solution is just a simple bitbang I2C interface whose schematics lingered on Aminet for a long time. Ofc, that Floppy port I2C works with any Amiga and doesn't require a Vampire.

| Excellent solution, I didn't thought about an external solution, but that's a good one given this port is not used anymore today. I will think about it. Thank you !

| Oh that floppy i2c might be a good "fix" for my a3000 busted RTC .. what i2c RTC module did you use and how did you get it to "Talk" to the Amiga OS .. ??

You should fix the A3000. It deserves it. In any case, my repository of I2C stuff is at EXTERNAL LINK including a simple tool for I2C based clocks (DS1307,DS3231,PCF8583). There's also SetClockI2C on Aminet.

Its as fixed as I can get it, and I have even sent the board out to the only known repair guy in the USA Paul R. .. he tried got a lot of the battery damage fixed and its nearly perfect save for the clock. That will likely require a mobo swap and I lack the skills to even contemplate such a thing and I know of no one in the USA that is offering to do it.. so here I am .. looking for alternatives till then. But yes I wholly agree and would love to get it fully 100% repaired but in the USA the options are exceptionally limited.

It's currently out of stock, but perhaps Edu will make another batch, but I believe this could be used to split the clockport and do both.EXTERNAL LINK

| Guys, if you buy these clockport expanders, could you do me a favour and post here if they work? I'm in the same boat. Thanks!
