Has anyone received email about the V4SA shipping?
Or anyone have information about it?

Not on my end.. But that doesn't appear to be unusual

Nothing here, and it would be nice to have some form of confirmation.  However, I think the Apollo team is focusing all their efforts on getting AROS ready, fixing bugs and making improvements.  We can't of course, ignore how the COVID virus may be affecting progress.

I'm sure we will hear when it's ready.

Finally thinking of buying the V4, after considering the V1200. But I think the classic hardware as too unreliable.

What is the current situation? Any major wait times if I'd order one today?

Hm, as there is always someone from the team active here, I hope it's not too difficult to answer, right?

Yes of course there is a lead time.
There is a queue of people having ordered and waiting.

At least any rough estimation on current lead times?

About 2month. We hope to get this down.

"2 months to ship", for orders placed when in particular?

Gosh, I wish I hadn't written such a favourable V4 review put eventually in January's Amiga Future.  Could have kept that secret for myself only, and then, I would already got my Vampire V4 back!!

I ask because of particular reason.

You wrote 2 months.

I ordered two months ago.

And I know a guy who ordered three months ago, talked to him recently.

So if this was two months indeed, you’ve got two persons (out two that I know) that fell behind the schedule you just quoted, as pretty much accurate.

More likely, at LEAST 2 months would be more accurate. Would love to know I'm in line for a V4 -- but taking it on blind faith right now. Part of the problem was the initial confusion around them being sold by authorized resellers, and the long wait for the resellers to admit they weren't going to have any to sell.

Thus, an interval would do!

But sales channel flip does not shrink the actual stock, does it?

No, but it does mean at least in my case, I've been waiting longer than some due to all that time in the queue at another vendor which was non-productive. I wouldn't have known about this shift in policy until much later, as the notification from the vendor I had initially expressed interest, didn't show up until quite a bit after I had already determined the change in policy had occurred.

In another thread, it looks like it's 5 months to ship right now.

Yup.  My friend ordered in January and promised to let me know if he gets any notice.

He hasn't since, and we have almost June.
