hello,
I see that there is no dedicated audio output but there is a way to add a d.a.c passing through io header 2 but the box does not provide for the integration of this extension, why did you miss a basic dedicated audio output for the Vampire standalone V4 ?
thanks

Because you can take it from TV to Hi Fi, and seems simpler not to have RCAs or similar.

Additionaly, there are mid-splitters if your TV does not provide this.

Simply, today, as in ZX48 days, its simplest too hook to TV.
Those who want more, are able to do it.

Also, see expansion section. There even might be more options:

PCM5102A DAC Decoder Board
Can be used to output analog audio from the Vampire through RCA audio jacks.
Must be connected to the Expansion Port using female-to-female jumper wires like these ones.

Yes of course but if we consider the vampire as a computer for example and so connected to a screen and not to a tv, you do not have sound.
Fortunately we can use a DAC as I reported in my post but unfortunately the box was not intended for.
The amiga has RCA connectors, a PC has jack connectors but the vampire has nothing to dedicate, some people don't want to have a vampire behind a simple TV ;)
In short the only solution is the DAC with the vampire and her case open....

Simple answer -

They assumed most people would hook it up to a TV.

There are other cases coming out...

You have 5 options for audio

a) Monitor or TV with Speakers
b) Monitor with audio out Jack
c) Digital Video Splitter
d) Speakers Connected over ARC
e) DAC Module connected on the Expansion port

Most of modern monitors have speakers too and DIGITAL-VIDEO carries out sound

@Gunnar von Boehn
yes but if I take the dac, I can not have the RCA in front because the holes are not provided
And Iím looking at the vampire a little bit more so I donít just put it on a TV, so Iím waiting for a case thatís more suitable for the Vampireís upcoming extensions ;)
Letís hope that the vampire will not be limited by its own case and that we will see very quickly on the market of boxes more open to an extended vampire
thanks

There are many cases for the Vampire on the market.
From checkmate, crystal glass case, to A1200 case ...
Pick the one you like most.
