Special Request for Fix Bug ROM Amiga ESCOM

I'd like to know if in a future Vampire4000 card ROM patched, It'll be possibile to have fixed an annoying bug in A4000 Tower ESCOM model:

- when connected in these particular model Amiga an Hard disk IDE (master or slave no difference) at the first cold boot It is needed a soft reboot or we can have in the output video a red guru requester.
This problem is well documented and It's not possibile to fix via software (if not via ROM patched ... so here my question about a fix using directly a Vampire4000 ;-) ).
I have read also there was many ages ago a hardware to buy to fix it.
Here some links about with particular bug:

Dear Nadyr,

Thanks for your message about this bug. It should normally be already adressed and fixed.

Best Regards

sorry the second url It's not right ... (It was about a scsi controller...), the second right url that talk about this bug is this one EXTERNAL LINK
So do you already working in Vampire4000 ? (This bug is only related to model A4000 Tower ESCOM, not A4000 Tower C= and not A4000 Desktop).

thanks

We don't have a Vampire 4000 at the moment so can't tell if it's ok or not. If the bug is fixed in latest scsi.device versions, it should be fine.

Any link to that patch you mentionned ?

ok

I don't have it, but in third link there is a guy has written "Possibly the way to fix it properly would be to edit the code in ROM to change how things are done during boot, but that's not so easy without a copy of the source code handy".

Other one from DeltaGraph'X Sarl (Gert Ren Schmidt) has written It can fix only via hardware.

your opinion ?

Is there a difference between the Escom A4000T kickstart 3.1 and the Commodore kickstart 3.1? If yes that could clarify the strange behavior.
Or is it a hardware bug in the Esvom A4000T?

The Vampire includes a FAST-IDE which is compatible to the AMIGA IDE
but about 4 times faster than the Commodore IDE.

Therefore I think your problems solved themselves with the new IDE.
