EXTERNAL LINK      I m happy to announce that our old Vampire 600 pre-order list is cleared by the end of last year. Finally!!!
We have manufactured one more batch of cards few days ago so I will open our Vampire 600 pre orders page again and keep it open only for few days then close it again after batch is cleared. This batch is done because constant requests I have received over mail. Seems to me that interest for this model is still high enough to continue making small batches.
This version of card is latest revision 2.2 presented o  EXTERNAL LINK This time we will move quickly without any delays regarding testings and shipping cards.
Please order just one card, by not placing multiple orders from different mails. Let's play fair and give everyone chance. If you already have one Vampire 600, give others a chance to get it.

Great and congrats! Technically these are now just "orders", not " preorders"... :)

Was there ever any doubt?  There isn't a single other card that can match the capabilities of the Vampire on the A600.  It is second to none!

Ye but what puzzles me is that there are so many Amiga 600 left to exist. I know that people hated them for various reasons. Maybe just maybe they were wrong in some comments but in some not.

I initially disliked the A600 on release but know I prefer them over the A500. Smaller, onboard IDE, easy 2M chip expansion and PCMCIA slot (great form Network cards). Couple this with the Vampire 600 and you have a great Amiga Classic computer.

Can you share how many are typically available with each batch?

I think the sale of Vampire 600's will greatly outnumber the amount of Amiga 600's in the world. I know that in my situation, if a few years down the track my V600 fails beyond my ability to repair it, I would like to buy another one. So far, for the sake of those that don't have one yet, I have held back from ordering another V600 as a spare, but eventually I will get another one anyway.

I already have a spare motherboard, case and floppy drives for mine, since it is my intention to use my Amiga 600 till the day I die. :)

Hopefully, Majsta, you guys will continue to produce these (or at least an alternative, more powerful equivalent) for a while yet.

From my point of view, the A600 with the vampire is a better computer than the bulky 1200.

It only needs to finish the AGA core and it will be perfect. same computer, half of space.

Sure, as most parts of the Amiga 600 or 1200 are not in use anymore, it doesn't matter which model is used for Vampirization...

Ultimately, the standalone will make this choice unnecessary.

Outside of the 68k, everything is still functional on the A600 in the current core...

I would like to put whatever Vampire into an original Amiga case. It wouldn't matter much to me which Vampire. If the stand-alone can't be made to work with the original Amiga keyboard, tough choice...

I wouldn't be surprised if many, if not most, shared this opinion.  But I have to say, that there is something about having the A600, in it's original glory, sitting on my desk.  It is like a compact A500+ which brings the warm and fuzzies without requiring so much space.  And nothing is more satisfying that the old Amiga keyboard.  Aber je nach dem.  It is a personal choice.

I will most likely buy the Stand-alone Vampire but it will be an addition, not a replacement for my Vamp'ed Amiga 500 and 600. Emulation is fine but for me, running games or apps on the actual retro-hardware is 90% of the retro experience.

I have enough spare parts to keep my Amiga Classics running far past my lifetime :)
