Famous Dream of Amiga Laptop

Classic days: BigBook surely knows of some A600 experiments (A300 fi real, heh). I read about it in "Svet kompjutera" :-)

AmigaOne: There was infamous HypeLime lap thing, same as with IBM Smartphone. Ghosts rarely seen, and its good they are not in existance, judging by hardware inside.
Some of AmiWest boys is doing Do it by yourself kit for I believe SAM460/Tabor. Live to see it. Looks a bit ugly. And then comes the performance hit and unexpandability of boards.

AmigaTwo: Acube and Kickstarter crowd - Italian boys are doing X5000 style laptop, just better. And they need support. Linux goes with it, MorphOS is hoped, AmigaOS 4 hardly.

AmigaTree: ALICE exists on Aeon website and one website more. ASUS lap with Win10 and AmiKit X and Linux with a tax.AmiKit X got free but a bit expensive. Vampire AmiKit X would be great BUT AUTHOR DOES NOT HAVE A VAMPIRE

68k revival:
Yes, we could try similar with V4. But let it mature first.

Hopefully, similar approach to Italian one, or with Acube could be done. If PPC laptop has audience, Vamp one could too with OS 3.1.4/Coffin/MacOS Classic/AtariGEM+GUI/Linux 68k/AROS 68k/AmiKit X as options.

Maybe when the V4 standalone comes out someone will make a laptop version, might not be a bad idea actually.
Might not be too difficult, small hdmi monitor, case, psu, batteries.

I was kind of thinking along the lines of just using the standalone and building a case for it and some peripherals, a screen, adding a mouse and maybe using a small usb keyboard.
More for individuals or kit makers rather than for the apollo team, I think they have their hands full at the moment, would be nice if they could in the future but there would have to be a market for it first.

I'd be interested by that... a portable v4!
Although my Checkmate A1500 case will be the first destination tbh.
Has anyone tried Powerbooks G4 with MorphOS? I was tempted by this for a while too...

I'm not sure what I'll put in the Checkmate case, probably going to be my V500, then stick a V4 in my A1200, then I'll see about possibly using a standalone as a mobile version.
But again, there's plenty time to decide, I'm not expecting the V4 to be out this year, but you never know. Also its going to be May or there abouts before the Checkmate case will be starting to be sent out.

So for the standalone board, something along the lines of the "Pi Top" laptop body,
or "Pi Top CEED" like one of those amazon privacy removal devices?
