PC-Task is too slow even on Vampire, perhaps if adapted it could be faster but current it is not.
I think (at least for gaming) DosBox is more relevant/interesting

Yes, but in terms of speed...DosBox is even worse than PC-Task. If you think PC-Task is slow, don't even look at DosBox then.
