EXTERNAL LINK
C1 had lifted from left to right including the trace on the right hand side it was peeled back and upwards almost touching the pints of L1 on the right, i gently tacked it down with as little heat as possible as i didn't want to wreck the trace that was still attached hence the crap solder job, that was 2 weeks ago, removed the card yesterday to register a friends vampire and noticed c4 was now missing when it wasnt 2 weeks ago (its probly in the 2000 ill see if i can see it)

been running 2.9 x11 & fast ide if it makes any difference

Warning: Please NOT run the Vamp with missing Caps.
The Caps are needed to stabilize the Voltage, running the Vamp with missing Caps can damage the card.

This is very strange, card is from me and I wouldn't send card in that condition to anyone, no way! Either someone was messing with it or it was damaged somehow in transport. That's only conclusion I can make here. Value of those caps(C1 and C4)are 22uF 0805.

thanks for your reply igor

i think i could of worded my question a bit better as the caps were indeed on the card when i got it i did mean any office

C1 had come away from the pcb after a few months use i done a light repair to it, 2 weeks later (2 days ago) c4 is gone all together when it was there when i tacked c1 back on as i inspected it for any sign of coming away.

is there any advantage of upgrading the caps to a higher value as done on the v600? or stay with the 22uF 0805.

No need but you can add 47uF in that size but shouldn't change anything. However 22uF 0805 is highly recommended.
