If one right now put on a graphical chart the backward compatibility of software...hardware banging software, etc and compare it between ApolloOS vs AmigaOS (either booting from disk or not) what number would you give it? (Honest reply only)

ApolloOS is a reimplementation of the AmigaOS.
The goal of ApolloOS is to be 100% compatible.
ApolloOS provides the same function as AmigaOS and has the same features.
This means you can run normal Amiga programs on it - the same way as on Amiga OS.
ApolloOS includes a number of features that AmigaOS has not as standard. For example, ApolloOS includes by default many things which AmigaOS not includes like RTG, Network stack, and many more..

You can run any Amiga program also on ApolloOS.
Ibrowse, Aweb, Paintprograms like PPaint, Video player Riva, Musikplayer like Mp3player or Madplayer - they run well on ApolloOS.

As you know Amiga hardware banging programs not care much about the OS anyway ... So a hardware banging game will normally not care whether you run Amiga OS 1, 2 or 3 and these programs should all run on ApolloOS too.
This means they will run on either AmigaOS or ApolloOS the same way.

Hi Gunnar,

Is Apollo accepting reports on Amiga games which are not working with your hardware?  I know of a few games which work fine on a bare A600 but will not work with a Mandrake installed.

Cheers,
Brett

I think Mandrake is a root?

Manticore is a monster ..
All our cards are named after monsters from an old Amiga fantasy game.

Yes, Mandrake is a root with hallucinogenic properties.

I ordered my Manticore and IceDrake together and somehow they got mixed together in my typing late one night ;-)
