Is this normal Coffin is showing only 112.853KB of FastRAM on the top menu bar. So I guess it does not see the 128MB of ram on the vampire? Everything seems to be working ok? I have core 2.11 and using coffin r54

Its not showing total memory. its showing available memory.

You do understand that workbench, backgrounds, screen resolution and so on takes memory? Try checking the amount when the amiga is off :) then you will see 128MB.

A few megs of the 128MB are not available to the CPU and thus to AmigaOS because they are used for the kickrom, the RTG memory and some core householding stuff.

Isn't that better than having a 4 GB of RAM and an OS takes 99.99% of it leaving with you 64 KB of RAM??

just like when you have a stock A1200 - you never have a full 2mb once workbench has loaded! why expect the vampires ram to be any different?

Ok this makes sense. The thing that threw me off was it shows 444KB of ChipRAM and that was what I expected as I have an old rev 5

Memory you see is memory still available to work. You cannot see the amiga memory configuration as a PC. So from 128mb of ram, you need memory for nice graphics at 16bit or 24 bit. You need memory for resident programs that are runing, etc. Please try to run wichamiga wich is included in CoffinOS, you will see full 128mb of ram.
