As from all I read from you, it sounds like the logical followup on AGA.

  Thank you.

I think many features that Super-AGA provides were on to "todo" list by the Amiga developers.

  - they wanted a Chunky modes.
  - they wanted 16bit audio, they wanted more audio channel
  - they wanted 3D acceleration

Absolutely agreed. I still wonder if it would have been possible "back then" or if only more recent advances made it possible (this is not about your company, I am wondering "how big did Commodore fail in the end" ;-) ).

I have great respect for both the Motorola and Amiga engineers.
They needed to get everything right and fully working.

I today have the luxury that I can make some new logic - then test the logic, use in real live, and if I see something to improve then I can change the design, and update it.
This is much easier then only having one shot which need to be perfect.

Same here. It was not the engineers holding everything up. We could have got a A3000 + AGA ways before A1200 if the engineers had their way.

BTW - when relooking at your display mode list for Super-AGA - I like that 480x270 mode, nice idea to include something in the middle. Would give a in-between for games where 640x480 is too slow (and 320x240 too lowres ^^).

Yes its nice in the middle mode. With more resolution but still a retro touch.

For fully using modern 16:9 screens I very much like 640x360 mode

I sort of overlooked that. I will examine this with the test exe we talked about.
