Hey Gunnar,
we also found out that the problem was in Ross@EABs Ocean Loader code, and I am just using this and have no ambitions to find out how his piece of code works and why it does this on every Amiga except the V4... ;)

And I still think you'd need to get in contact with Ross@EAB to find a solution here like I said back when we had a discussion about this... ;)

Nobody did a core modification for it to work.
Friends of mine wrote a game  named Albedo the game was not working on my A500 I need to get a crack to play it while I owned the original.

Rygar was not working On the Replay (Fpgaarcade) Mcgeezer used a certain version of Ross loader. I posted that on EAB and Ross pointed me to another version which uses a less strict version of his loader and it was working then.

Yes, this is the impression I get to.
You seem to be not interested to fix this.

I did offer you several times to help you debug this.

I find it difficult that you blame the V4.
In my opinion which is based on years of software and hardware development experience, we should search for the problems in your software code. Maybe its a side effect of several factors e.g. fast CPU, this does not means the V4 has a problem - but maybe the software needs be more compatible to certain CPU or memory speeds.
I can surely help you to find this... - if you let us help.

I wonder why you did not so far accept our offer to help you debug this?
But shift blame to the hardware instead, I admit that I think this is not fair and not good behavior.

Michi, we met on A34, we spoke on the phone,
and I got the impression you are cool guy and we could work well together ...

So where is the problem?

IMHO he is not blaming the HW, just stating 3 things:
1)The problem is in the Loader and occours with V4 Standalone
2)The loader is written by another person
3)He is not interested in debug a piece of code he has not written and asks you to contact who wrote the loader to find a fix together

Correct me if I'm wrong

I’ve to add that nobody fixed the Replay core. I bought at a discount price a game named Albedo because I knew the authors, it never worked on my Amiga 500 despite me having the original, I played the cracked version because of this.
Hopefully a Whdload version will fix this.

This is the clue to solving the problem :
Invviya (h-file from the CD32-ISO) works with AROS-Kickstart (and Turtlemode on) on the V4SA, but not with Kickstart 3.1.4.1! Thank you!

So your game doesn't load on the V4 due to code that you are using and its up to the apollo team to contact the person you got the code from to fix the problem with your game, not you?

Inviyya uses 3rd party code in some places,
a) For "Init" the system, here called Loader code.
b) For play music

Actually I not think that the loader code alone is the problem.
My personal guess is, that how the loader code is called/connected to Inviyya might be the problem.
To debug the problem it is not be enough to just look at the loader code alone, but I have to look at both pieces together.

I'm willing to spend the time to debug this and I'm offering my help here.

But to be able to do this, Michi needs also to help
and he needs to share me his part of Inviyya code that interfaces to the loader so that I can verify how both parts work together.

In my opinion to verify and fix this is for the best of all users and that we should do this. We could create a patch that fixes the game.

I personally find it sad, that this game was not tested during the development of it. I think all this could have been avoided.

Since the Vampire do have a lot of memory there’s no reason to use a track loader just use the OS calls instead it shouldn’t be hard to implement.

Inviyya is not written for Vampire. Main target is a classic computer with 512kb chip + 512kb extra memory.

I know that but is that a lot of work to make a version for Vampire? I mean even Amigans with faster CPU and and a HD would like to install it that way instead of using floppies right?
