QSEC Team is pleased to announce the playable alpha preview (v0.7d) of the brand new Vampire V4 game "Jake and Peppy", just in time for the end of Easter!

For download, technical support, and feedback, please visit the Vamped Amiga channel on Telegram:

EXTERNAL LINK
Future releases will be available from the apollo-computer.com website.

Note that we are releasing this slightly ahead of the Vampire V4 R6 core release. USB gamepad control requires an R6 beta core or higher, or is completely playable with keyboard on core R5.

We hope you enjoy this teaser release.

QSEC Team.

Wow, great times to be a Vamp owner! Looking forward to trying this game out!

Edit: Any chance we can get the .lha file without having to install telegram?

Eventually it will be on the Apollo-Computer.com website. Game support will be via Telegram channel though. It's not difficult to join. There are a couple of hundred people there ;)

Well done Kenji,

This game is really stellar.
I find fantastic to see that such great games come out new for Amiga.
This is a game looking so good that no one would believe it runs on Amiga. Its a good example of the power of AMMX acceleration.

I am sure it is very easy, it is just that I am not comfortable with being forced to install software I don't need.

No worries, mate, I will wait. :)

Isn't this quite an abuse to force community members to subscribe to yet another social service, in order to be capable of using what was just released, for the said community?

Is this a big problem to deliver link and/or support via the native Apollo Discord, like Willem is doing since the start, with His VBL software??

whats so special about Sonic? Technically this was possible on a stock A500 or are there any special Vamp improvements?

Your comment is like looking at "Defender of the Crown" on Amiga and then saying, "whats so special about this? This is possible to run on C-64."
Sorry, this is just a ridiculous comment.

SEGA is complete different hardware than AMIGA with different features. And the SEGA hardware is in some areas a lot stronger than AMIGA. This is unquestionable. This SEGA Sonic games is of course not possible to make in the same quality on an A500.

An Amiga500 is very much NOT capable of running Sonic due to the reasons Gunnar has stated - I mean go right a head if you think you can do it the the ASM source for the Sega Genesis version is available! no? ok then and also this Version is based on the Enhanced Android version, it has the extra characters, the Shields and moves from sonic 3 and lots of other tweaks and bug fixes over the Sega Genesis original so dont be so disrespectful of others who are taking the time to bring great software to Vamped Amigas.

We now have a trailer video for the Alpha preview, so people who can't run the game can see what it is about :)
