Saving On WHDLoad

Hello Amiga people,

I have been trying to get WHDLoad games to save in my V4, latest core, with Coffin R57, but I get no joy.

I have tried several games (gobliins 2, Heart of China, Monkey Island, Conquests of Camelot and lots of other games) and the result is the same everytime I try to save my progress:

Bad stack pointer on entering WHDLoad
  via 'resload_Examine'.

Otherwise the games run great. Please, help!

Ok, mate thanks, I was pulling my hair out trying to fix this. It is a bit of a bummer, but I guess I need to install such games with the standard, old-fashioned procedure, then.

Any chance that the save worked ok with previous versions of Coffin?

I've run into that too. Fairly common based on my testing. Games tend to either completely lock up or display an error like that any time they go to modify data. It's not an OS issue -- I've see the exact same issue with ApolloOS for the same titles. I'm slowly working through this list, but doubtful it will be finished before the next major core update. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w01R98NkMpevUox1N2iFS3-O90jexIJqG11N2dC5AeM/edit#gid=504929201

This list is pretty cool and useful, wish I had access to it earlier on, would have saved me heaps of frustration.

Thankfully, there is a ton of stuff to keep me occupied in the V4 until these problems get sorted out (fingers crossed).

Good to know, before I start downloading and testing all previous releases. :S

It's completely open, so anyone with the link can modify it. Around 2,800 games on that list. I've eliminated some duplicates (different memory configs), and only kept the ones which weren't explicitly NTSC (Based on the folder names). We may have a new core released before too long, so the process starts over again.
