AFAIK this is only plain 68k optim yet. Vamp specific ones will arrive later ;)

| Is this development release available? looking at an old link in the other thread looks to have not been updated in a while.

| IIRC there is rooms full of monsters in the dungeons will lot of projectiles it would be a good test to show the performance IMHO. Why little indians mode was not used? I guess chunky is.

Yes but this is much harder to screen shot.Kamelito Loveless wrote:

What benefit should little endian give?

Unfortunately it does not work like this. AMIGA OS is a big Endian OS. You can not run a Little Endian program on a Big Endian OS just by flipping a switch. APOLLO 68080 has Instruction supporting Little Endian access, those help for performance.

| Nice! That must be faster than what it did on the hardware it was intended to run on when it was released right?

Yes, DIABLO was 20 FPS on Intel Pentium Isn't it very nice to see that AMIGA beats Pentium?

| Just for sake of comparison: early pentiums ran at 60-75Mhz, what FPS can achieve a V4 with comparable clock sopeed? That should show the real efficiency of 68080 Vs Pentium

| I'm having 50fps "in town" with my x11 v2+ (78Mhz), so at 66Mhz this would give 50*66/78=42 fps (give or take).

That's cool, give or take double performance, that's cool!

| Don't forget that this is DevilutionX, not Diablo. I suspect that DevilutionX, coded more two decades later for much more modern hardware, is by far not as hand-optimised as Diablo was.

| Original Diablo is capped at 20fps. DevilutionX is not.

If true That makes breaking it's 20fps quite easier
