I was trying to play frontier on my vamped A600 but thought it felt slower/chuggyier than on my TF330d CD32 so I fired up the CD32 and sure enough its slower? What's going on here? And I am using coffin os r55.

Are both machines running the same graphics settings in Frontier?
Also does SysInfo show that everything is as expected on A600 - fastram working, etc?

I think this may be due to WHDload, I remember watching a video where this happened, I think the solution is to go to the folder and run the game directly rather than using the WHDload icon.

Just found it on youtube while typing this: EXTERNAL LINK

Yes WHDLOAD set card in "slow 68000" compatibility mode.

Is there anyway of telling whdload not to slow down?

Try "CACHE" command for WHDload tool types, in my case Frontier work better

There's a number of games on Coffin WHDLoad that do this...

Wing Commander - runs like a DOG.. I'm convinced it's dropping to 68000 7mhz mode.

Other games run WAY too fast - Hard Drivin is basically unplayable because it's too fast.

Is there some way to go into the game by game settings and modify the speed it runs at?

You can just run the game itself, its about 3 minutes in on the video I linked.
Its in the frontier/data/game folder

running frontier by itself will make the autopilot non-working is some kind of bug you can't jump from planet to planet using it.
