Hello,

I bought a vampire 500 v2 + 2 months ago.
My Amiga is Rev 8 with 512 kb chip-ram
Core 2.9 is ready.
I use coffin 52r default as OS.

Now for my problem, whenever I stratify a WhdLoad Game,
the amiga crashes with green flashing power light

does anyone have an idea and can help me.

Greetings from Switzerland

Check do the games require more then 512kb chip to run WHDLoad slave on WHDload website EXTERNAL LINK . Try games with lower  requirements in terms of chip RAM.

  If you cant get 1MB Chip expansion (512kb slow fast could be converted on  some models) be patient until core3.It will give you AGA and 2MB+ Chip where this worries will fade away.

You either need to disable roadshow or purchase a license for it.  It's a known issue that whdload and roadshow demo together will crash.

    There is a MiamiDX in Coffin 52. Someone find a quick solution how to switch to miamiDX and kill the roadshow, like renaming roadshow related library :-)

    This "know issue" should be hinted in Coffin readme.Currently "limitations" section hints a need to register  roadshow only.

    ===========
    Limitations
    ===========

    1) Roadshow is bundled as DEMO and will popup a nagscreen after a couple of minutes. You are highly encouraged to buy the full version which is still developped and supported. Roadshow has been proven to be the fastest Amiga TCP/IP stack on 68k and fully.

  Note that even when TCP is fixed, WHDLoad slaves that  need more then 512kb chip will  refuse to work.

  See e.g. this EAB thread EXTERNAL LINK    as well as this EXTERNAL LINK
  I have read somewhere that on WHDload site they have req.  for  each slave written in some format  like Chip / Slow FAST / FAST format,  but please google a bit on yourself.

  Registering IP stack, having 1MB Chip now or waiting  until CORE3 (that will remap  fast  mem on  vamp  as needed chip) will make all included games work.

I believe your board revision qualifies and might be very late model. This hack is for rev5 boards EXTERNAL LINK Read more about rev8  I believe (but check this uterly) you do have Fat Agnus already.

" The A500 was supplied with 512K of CHIP RAM by default. Earlier revisions of the A500 could only address 512K of CHIP but later revisions containing the 8372 Agnus could address 1MB (but were still supplied with 512K)."

  Sysinfo  or any software that does indicate chip RAM.

  Hell, its displayed in Workbench free mem info.

  You will certainly have 2x chip from  now upon completed fix.

  But  please or do  it with someone who has experience in  it, or  be humble and wait for CORE3 which  should give you 2-4MB by simple remmaping - no extra work but flashing it needed (nice touch!)
