Is it already an ST as the base? If Amiga, how did you do that?

Judging by the last post on page 1 of this thread: CLICK HERE - I would guess that is an ST emulator running on Amiga, but taking advantage of SAGA features to speed up emulation.

Although I notice that Bombjack is the first game mentioned in the emuTOS read me as compatible, I assume that it hits the hardware for sound etc so presumably does t run natively on Amiga hardware yet.

Yes this is correct.
SAGA does support native ATARI GFX modes.
This means 2 color Planar, 4 color Planar, 16 color Planar.
These modes can be displayed in the original resolutions, but also used in higher resolutions.
This means you could in theory also use 16 color mode on Emutos in FULLHD.

Right now we updated the ATARI ST Emulator to use the NATIVE ATARI GFX modes - this makes the emulator much faster.

We hope that someone will update Emutos soon,
to allow people using all the modes there too.

In parallel we test the Vamp as accelerator in real ATARI ST.
This bringup is on going.

Great, put Vampire in Amiga and have Atari, put Vampire in Atari and have Amiga :)
I hope that Falcon compatibility will be achieved as well, beacause to have one is hard and expensive.

Hi Gunnar,
do you have a roadmap for the Vamp for the ST?
We know you're busy with V4, but would be cool to know what is the current status.

thanks

Does this mean that a Standalone V4 could one day be booted both as an Amiga or an Atari without using emulators?

That would be insanely cool

V2 can boot now EmuTOS/FreeMINT. Its Atari OS that does not bang Atari chipset, so apps and only GEM/Mint works. V4 might have some elements of Atari blitter etc. that could bring further Atari compatibility.

actually, for me it would be insane to have mounted Vampire inside my ST :) And I asked about that version Vampire.

EmuTOS on Amiga is ok but I have no Amiga
