| Where can I get the latest version? Why is all this stuff only available downloading Coffin image? I copied now the GNGeo folder to my self installed Amiga system. If I try to start a game via icon or try to run gngeo via shell I am getting this error: gngeo.exe: Fehler -1

| Thank you! :-) It would be fantastic to have a collection of links for all this nice software made for Vampire.

| Maybe we can ask Aminet to create a "Vampire" section?

| My GnGeo gets stuck in the loading screen. After a while ixemul tells me, that my system is running out of space, and that I should free half a megabyte to go on.. Any idea what might cause this?

Running the 68000 code native could be done - but will be extra coding work to change the emulator.

No it can't. This was possible with the New World Macintosh ROMs because of the abstraction built into them. It was a matter of creating new A-Line traps for all the hardware routines and the memory arrangement didn't really matter. This is not possible on any other 68K emulator whether it's the Atari, Sega Genesis or NEO GEO. You would need some "magical device" that can translate memory regions or something to do this. I've been told such a mythical device does not exist. And GNGEO already performs a sort-of JIT. I rewrote it to cheap on the flag handling and offload the register decoding into the jump table and it was a lot faster. Flype and I were getting 60-70 fps with frame-skip enabled (so 30-35 rendered fps). Very playable.

| @Renee Are you still working on gn-geo? Where can we download the latest binary?

| In fact, the GnGeo on V1200 reaches 40-50fps only in the demonstration trailers, in advanced and serious game it also collapses 20fps often making it all unplayable. Then all the titles in one way or another go to block, almost always when trying to continue a game.

Not in months. Someone else thought they could do a better job.

Renee, you were doing an awesome job. I won't spell out my words for anyone that couldn't see that because it might get me banned.

Some NEOGEO games are huge and therefore also need a lot Fastmem to emulate them. You can try another game or you can try to conserve memory, e.g. make sure you have not many other applications open in parallel, use a lower screen mode on WB and maybe no background picture. Make sure not to waste memory with extra reserved P96 memory.
