@Marlon

Tested it on a Gold 2.7 beta+FEMU core and it runs.
I must say at this point it's quite greedy with resources, about 60 MIPS on minimon.

  Well, we have to start somewhere. That it's actually running and not crashing on launch 50% of the time anymore is a big win to me. :P
  It seems like it runs about the same on Gold 2.7 as Gold 2.5, so I'm sure there's some optimizations that can be done.

  MilkyTracker has a built in mixer to mix down all sounds, then it goes through SDL-mixer, which goes through AHI. And there's your culprit, most likely. By replacing the SDL-audio interface and doing a direct audio driver for Paula/Pamela would likely improve the speeds by a lot.

As is, the SDL version MilkyTracker is running on is already AMMX enabled, so some routines in Milky could also be improved in the future by doing the same there. ;)

@Marlon,

Can't deny that to get it running first is most important, and yes it's an early version i understand :)

Please keep up the good work, looking forward to next versions!

Thanks Marlon, its good to have a decent modern Tracker again. Hope to see Pamela support once the "sound boobs" are out.

A 16-bit tracker would be awesome!

Great stuff! Remember to set the resampling mode to "No interpolation" in the config if you don't want to waste CPU cycles. ;)

It's already set to that in the standard config that comes in the package.

Will this support the added hardware channels of Pamela?

Only bug I would fix is have it detect if the FEMU is enabled before starting if not gracefully exit instead of throwing a guru .. otherwise nice software

Since I'm not done with this yet, that could probably be sorted.

Awesome.. Thanks! .. I dont run FEMU by default .. it would be nice to have a gentle reminder to turn it on.. :-)
