There was some year a go a lot of discussion of disk cache for Amiga.
Dave Plummer has released soureces of his HyperCache.

I haven't peeked the source yet but probably it could be nice base to optimize it with AMMX to get great results.

This is nice.
Our ApolloOS does actually include a diskcache which we did develop.

A viewer named Matthew reached out and challenged me to publish the source code to the well-known Amiga product "HyperCache",
HyperCacheAmiga. Source code to the 1980s Amiga product, version dated 1992. A fellow named Matthew Kott reached out and asked me to release the source code ...Most Amiga products were originally created directly for the Amiga ... HyperCache (written by Dave Plummer) was the first commercial disk caching software.
