I have recently been putting my Vampire 1200 through it's paces with the recent Gold 2.12 update. I am happy with the continuous improvement.

Please see for yourself

Hello,

First of all, thanks a lot for this fantastic board !

I've flashed my Vampire 500V2+ with the new 2.12 Core.
Since it's done, the mouse coordinates are no longer correct.
For example, when I want to click on the button to close a window, the mouse pointer must be positioned about 5 to 10 mm to the left and above it. Weird.

I reinjected the Gold 2.11 kernel on my Vampire and everything is back to normal...
This is the first time this has ever happened to me with an update.

An ideo?

Install the latest SAGA drivers along with the new core.

I have updated my V1200 with latest core and SAGA drivers. Using coffin r56 i can't get RIVA to play videos (It's sound only), or get emulators to run.

WHDLoad works great and am still exploring the remaining coffin content.

Of the emulators included in coffin r56 i can only get the Commodore 64 one to work. The NeoGeo emulator has a garbled screen and all the others immediately crash/freeze.

My approach has been to try them from a clean coffin r56 image and when that doesn't work play with P96, various settings, startup-sequence editing, etc.. until eventually giving up and going back to a clean coffin r56 image.

Are you sure its a "Crash" - Do you get a Guru?
Or do you just get a black Screen?

From your description it sounds a bit like your Monitor not likes P96 settings and only shows black because of this.

I don't get a guru. Just a black screen with no sound. I'll search for ways to adjust P96.

Any clues why i can't get Riva to show videos? Neither PIP or full screen work but i do get the sound.

No clue. This is the first time I hear this.

I have update the Core to 2.12 version and installed Coffin r56 onto Vampire V500V2+ and everything works fine!
The NEOGEO games are runing. They didn't with Core GOLD 2.11 & Coffin r54 on my Amiga.

This new version is amazing! Fantastic work!

Is there a solution for running ppc games like Wipeout 2097 ?

  No PPC, no Warp3D
Best chance for WipeOut could be FPSE m68k and PS version, although I dont know has anyone tested it on Vamp

Anyone else having this Riva problem with the V1200, or is it just me?

Are your video files compressed to the MPEG-1 standard?

Are you using latest RiVA version from the Aminet? V2 SAGA does not support PIP display option. For optimal runtime performance, use full screen on SAGA RTG (make sure, you have active screenmodes with 16 Bit depth), along with Paula audio output.

Using an unaltered coffin r56 image on a 32BG MicroSD card to play the videos included with coffin.

I always get sound as my A1200 sound output is plugged directly into my speakers. My monitor shows no input from both the A1200 RGB out and from the Vampire Digital-video out with Riva or the included emulators.

My conclusion is that my monitor can't handle the screenmodes that Riva or the emulators use.

Any tutorials on how to force these programs to use specific screenmodes? or to make the screenmodes compatible with my monitor?

Edit; Riva version info:

You can use a test-button on prefs/screenmode or Picasso96mode program to test that all your hdmi 16 Bit depth screen modes works with your monitor. If they works OK try also RiVA version from Aminet.
