Paula's Impact On AGA Bus?

Hi folks - I'm curious -

How much bandwidth does Paula typically need for playing (MOD) music?  What % of the bus time does this translate to on OCS/ECS?

And is this "impact" on the bus 4x worse with AGA?  (i.e. because Paula still accesses the bus 16-bits x 7.16 mhz instead of the AGA bus of 32-bits x 14.32 mhz?)

Amiga-Sound typically plays 4 channels, 8 bits per channel, 15 kHz sampling rate. This means it takes 60kB/s out of 3500kB/s available. Effect: negligible.

This is an interesting thought, indeed. Maybe Pamela would surely be a lot better when it comes to this

Lets look at PAMELA
 
peak usage:
 
8 Channel at 44khz with 16bit
=700 KB/sec
 
Memory Speed of Vampire2 = 700.000 KB/sec
 
700.000 KB versus 700 KB
= PAMELA needs less than 1% of bandwidth
