That would be logical if have only MiNT on the CF-Card.

My target is users who want a multi-boot setup with different OS-es for their V4.

I work with a 64Gb CF-Card as the base for nine different OS-es/Distro's.

So I have to make a balanced choice in partitioning scheme, as storage space is not infinite.

What would you advise me in partition scheme for EmuTOS for my multi-boot setup?

1GB is far enough for Atari world

I don't know if it will work, I don't know how Emutos manage partition, I think it try to boot to first one and it should be FAT16. You will try!

Yes, it does boot from first FAT16 it encounters.

I have a 1Gb FAT16 partition setup in my multi boot-layout and successfully boot EmuTOS.

But what sizes would you recommend for the EXT2 and FAT32 partitions?

5Gb I think is far enough!

For now I have reserved 5Gb in total for the "Olivier" Atari setup in the V4BootLoader;

  FAT16 - 1GB
  EXT2 - 2GB
  FAT32 - 2GB

Thanks for the update!

Quality before Speed, so take your time to make the setup stable.

Much appreciated.

I ran into some incompatibility between the AROS rom (which the V4 boots from with the new Core) and FAT16/32 partitions on the CF. So for now I am going to use SD-Card for EmuTOS / AES. This has also advantage of more flexibility in space and configuration for future updates.

Hi Olivier,

Could I ask you to sent me a private download link for your current setup.

Then I can already get started with my configuration and tests to incorporate the "Olivier" Atari (EmuTOS/AES) setup in the V4BootLoader-V2.0.

my email: willemdrijver@mac.com
Merci Beaucoup

The only one are on Willem package and on my computer (and I'm far from it for the moment)
This is not exactly Emtos 1.0 but a version some weeks before modified. Today Saga driver have not been accepted for 1.0 and since discussion around this with Emutos team acces to saga have changed and not compatible on v4 with previous version, I have done since a quick dirty patch of my previous work and change several things in emutos to be more near to tos 4 for resolution change, now resolution change can be done with vsetscreen and I have modified fvdi driver to use it. Emutos itself is able to access to ST screen format ( notice black and white blink a lot, it's saga issue )
I have not clean yet source and I don't know if saga has same interface on other vampire card? To remove old code and clean it.
Willem configuration is a quick answer to change for beta test and need to be ubdated when I will be back.
I'm going to do a fork of emutos on github soon as I need to do a lot of patch, I think it will take some time to introduce in main branch.
Olivier
