Does Diablo works with Aros? Sure it does!!!!
Some thoughts and running the Diablo 68k being ported by Arczi and Sam on the Vampire V4 and Aros 68k.

why awesome;)? i think its a sdl port- if its linked against an amiga sdl lib, which archi was usually supposed to do since years and our involvement with ixemul 6 and sdl lib coder, bernd, it is definitely supposed to work on aros as well as genuine amiga os.

now i just re packaged a whole bunch of games i gathered while twenty years on my own and drove it to my parents, but for some reason i dont see a copy of diablo, which definitely should be there.

No this Diablo game is 68K AMMX ASM optimized
and runs on Vampire much smoother with over twice as many FPS
as a on a GigaHerz Pegasos and GigaHerz Amiga1 PPC system.

I think its AWESOME that this all runs on AROS so nice already.

I thank you and arczi, I snagged a recent binary the other day where the saved game files are working properly on my V500 V2. I know it's not 100% yet, but amazing work.

Porting SDL is not just a matter of recompile and off we go. There is much more work than "just" "./configure; make".
 
Recall that 2-3 momths ago, the exe painfully ran at ~20fps with choppy video playback and now runs smoothly at 50fps fullscreen. All this was possible by carefully profiling and asm rewriting and getting rid of performances bottlenecks (not counting for endianness issues all over the place). It is a team effort by highly skilled amiga coders.

I have been watching your work (Sam, arczi, Marlon) on #diablo68k for some time and I am impressed with the amount of work you have done and had to do. I wouldn't have thought that this LE/BE stuff could cause so many issues. I very much appreciate your work!
