Use tha magic boot floppy as explained here (if you have v2)
  CLICK HERE
If you use V4, we are out of floppies.

Here is best guide I can find how to prepare AROS m68k partition.
EXTERNAL LINK
You need to first create partitions, and then reimage HDF file, if I am right.

Please, wait for some more suggestions.

I would definitely prefer to have AROS 68k iso, so that I could use it with another CF card.

Installable CD would also be a preference, or Linux style, netinstall.

Best solution, in my eyes, would be, if Coffin Rxx+,
could include an AROS partition :)

  Bootable, but low boot priority.

Until we invent Amiga RDB LILO, boot could be simple
  selection from Early Startup Menu

However, at this stage, be ready to "thinker".

installabe is not necessary imho. not at this time at least. just copy over the files.

Guys, this is extremely confusing.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but this is what I understand so far.

1. Vampire v4 standalone (in short: "vsa-v4" not "V4SA" anymore) does not boot from SD with A34 core.
2. When booting the HDF provided by Olaf Schoenweiss from CF card, it loads AROS ROM which will then not detect the IDE port, nor the SD Card of the vsa-v4 with A34 core.
3. To be able to use the HDF provided by Olaf Schoenweiss one needs to flash the Core provided by Simo Koivukoski (https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/WDaqoJzB/V4SA_r7012B_AROS.jic). But there are no release notes about this core.

Is that correct? Will there be someday more clear information about the cores, like changelogs and for which vampire version (A500-v2, A600-v2 or vsa-v4) they are applicable. That would make testing and talking about results much easier.

My V4 is from A34, has Kickrom 3.1 with Cloanto Sticker on Back of the Vampire Case.

Best Solution in my Eyes:
Olaf makes a Image from his Aros WB and we can write back to a CFCard and finish.

And a Switch Solution in the Early Startup is a Good Idea, and by the Step a ADF Point in the Early Startup to mount ADF ->  the next good thing.

Download link provided by Simo Koivukoski does not work: "forbidden" so I can't test it.
With core SA_7035_-700_booting.jic it loads the aros rom, then reboots, shows the "Waiting for boot media" screen with the "AROS eyes". When rebooting with both mousebuttons pressed. "AROS Early Startup Control" screen appears. "Boot Options..." do not show any drive. "Display Options..." and "Expansion Board Diagnostic..." do also not show anything.

Please provide the iso file, so that a CF card can be populated with it.

AROS needs no WB/KS present as it contains AROS KS replacement within.

microSD on V4SA is a non bootable media (for the time being).

im sorry but currently nightly servers of main aros repo as well as amigaports m68k fork are offline. these provide variety of imnage formats. but also i think olaf cannot update his distro because of that.

@Olaf
HDF is not Userfriendly, a Solution:
Make a Bootable SDCARD/CF with your System, and then make a Image with Etcher/Apple Pie Baker or other Programm. This Image can V4vUser write Back to a CF or SDCard. HDF is a Solution for WINUAE.

you see, everyone has another opinion about how he wants to have it delivered. some even complain, it isnt coming on floppies. i think the user might susutain a minimal effort to decompress an ne of image formats aros is usually coming in onto their amiga prtition. we have still a lot to do.

If the HDF has RDB partition table it's flashable to CF/SD.

I have just uploaded newest version
EXTERNAL LINK
could someone test it? Expecially on V4?

Olaf, I managed to copy Your vampire.hdf image onto a new CF card, using dd.

The V4SA boots into DOS, showing some commands being executed, but then, screen goes black and nothing happens.

it certainly boots to amiga boot shell, then maps aros kickstart and then hangs after dosboot. apparently it doesnt make sense to pursue testing till this is finally solved, apparently also on v4.

Wawa, can you come to our IRC.

After changeing core to 6700 and power on with Joystick button pressed it boots.

The mouse pointer is very ugly and huge. And I can only use PAL and NTSC screenmodes, no SAGA screenmodes.

currently you need to add saga p96 driver to the bootstrap line behind the rom image (along with the path where it is saved on the drive).

what cooncerns driver. does it boot all the way to wanderer? or is it just booting to the shell or something like that and the pointer is just a red triangle? i think there might eventually still be some iprefs issue left to be resolved.
