Good news everyone!!

Today your favority 68K core got 5 Mips faster.
While driving today in the car I had an idea how to speed up the core. And it works :)

The core is 5 Mips faster now.
We will test this for some days and then provide a free new SILVER update giving every 5 Mips extra!

I was going to type something, then thought, probably better not.

Let's just say WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!

And, I'm beside myself with happiness!

I don't care about fuzzy logic, neural nets, or quantum computing... Want a computer that is EASY TO USE and exceptionally flexible, and AMIGA fits the bill to a T!

AMIGA is still relevant TODAY as it was originally "ahead of it's time" and that has NOT been surpassed YET BY ANYONE ELSE!! They just haven't been able to achieve it!!!

WE ARE AT THE CUSP OF HUGE SUCCESS!

AMIGA/APOLLO CORE, FTW!

(...the S-AGA continues...)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but could I say now:

"The Vampire 2 could display a 1920*1080 image with a small amount of movement on it?"

I have to correct myself. :-)

The improvement is not 5 Mips but even plus 8 points according to minibench.

So pretty nice.

So guys look forward to some free boost with the next release!

Heh. Okay. ???

But, is that (8 points = %??) "as good as" or better than 5 MIPS?

Well, in any case, this is still EXCELLENT!!!

Can whatever you've done be put into ASIC silicon too, or is only able to work with an FPGA?

P.S. BTW, Keep it a secret... It's the AMIGA's edge that we so badly need!!!

So, hate to ask for the moon, but here goes.... Does anyone feel so inclined to do an ADoom or Alien Breed 3D side by side comparison of the speeded up by 8 points Apollo Core?

Additionally, Gunnar, can this work with the S-AGA component of the Apollo Core too??!!!??? (I hope, I hope, I hope....)

Also, I'm a bit confused. Is any part of S-AGA in the current Apollo Core activated yet? Is 2 megabytes of chip RAM still the maximum amount usable?
