@Thomas Blatt

Yes, the laptop possibility is getting closer with the V4! :)

Have the instruction or data cache sizes been improved in the V4 design?

That's depending on the model. There is a myriad of variants of the Cyclone5 on sale. The particular model on the V4 doesn't include GbE. The V4 has a 10/100 PHY on board.

The V1 did had Icache=4KB , DCache=4KB

The V2 did had Icache=16KB , DCache=32KB

For the V4 we plan those configs which we already tested:
Icache=32KB , DCache=64KB
Icache=32KB , DCache=128KB

If you look careful in the recent benchmarks then you might also find a results for this configuration.

  I ve got some partial answers on FB. It answers multiply questions, including production, CPU Mhz (yes, V4 is VampireNG from recent Riva tests) and some user complaints on no-v4000 and "Vampire milking"

  Hello to all, so in order: 1. for the name "v4", actually the current cards (Vampire 600 and vampire 500 +) are the v3. the v2 is the version for 600 with Only 64 mb of ram and without SD Connector, version ever marketed and used as the basis for la is why the new card is called "V4". 2. for the price, we have not yet defined it Finally, there is still information to be received on our side for large volumes of fpga and for assembly. The Assembly is made in Germany by a society company in Electronics. It will be a little more expensive than the v500+, but not in huge proportions. 3. Actually, for now no model for 3000/4000. every thing in its time :-) 4. The 080 will be cadencé at least At 92 Mhz, against a minimum of 78 Mhz for current v3. 5. People who supported the project continue to be able to use le and v500+ without worries, and can continue to do so with the next updates of the core. It was never said that the v3 support would be arrétait with the presentation of the v4, thanks for not telling anything. The De10-Nano is a map produced on a much larger scale than the v4.. It should not be thought further to understand why the price is not the same: the v4 has been completely designated by the team (Ceaich to any fact, from A to z). The production of the map will be made in Germany. The certification of this body and cris also adds a few euros in the balance. Claiming that there are huge margins is simply wrong. I suggest you sell your vampire v3 that you received free of charge in exchange for yours which was yet 3TH HAND AND DEFFECTUEUSE (exchange assumed by majsta to make his client happy) at 300 euros, so you Will make the margin and you can buy a-Nano Replacement :-) when at the phrase "only a year between the v2 and the v4, we are milk cows", it is also obviously false: the announcement Yesterday is an announcement, the card is not yet available. The V2 was announced on March 20, 2015 by majsta on amibay for pre-orders. Everyone wanted to professionnalisation production to increase the number of cards. Now that it's done, it's wrong to cry because the price increases. A serial production in Germany with a more expensive fpga can under no circumstances be at the same price as hand-crafted production in Serbia. 5. The post of vojin is eloquent: the stand will not cost more than the pack OS + Drivers 2 D and 3 D + Enhancer Pack in the world ng, while ng machines are much more expensive. It's all relative.

My bad. It is quite hard to tell from reading the datasheets what is included in the "E" series. Thanks for the info. :)

Very nice. These are modern sizes for L1 caches. An Intel I3 only has 32K/32K. AMD's new Ryzen 5 I=64KB, D=32KB.

another message to say: congratulation for achieving this new hardware :)

now that the word is out, hope to hear more about benchmarks, usb and ethernet support in OSes. also will there be any means to get wifi support (through sdnet maybe ?)

anyway, good news in amigaland :)

Are there any further details on the A600 adapter

This is awesome. But I have a dilemma at hands:

    I have no Amiga case, so If I get a standalone Vampire what would be the best approach to use it? I would love such much to have an Amiga 1200 original / enhanced case with a standalone vampire in it. I could buy one of those fancy A1200 cases that come in several colors, but these do not come with a A1200 keyboard.

Buying an used amiga online freaks me out and tend to be expensive.

    :(

Are there plans to manufacture a full Vampire Amiga in a case with built-in keyboard?

@Gunnar

  Which is the USB specification and speed?

  How much is the increase of the CPU speed over V3?

  Thanks a lot,

Interesting Question!
Now that we are at it can the Apollo Team gives us some more info about the 3 expansion headers? What can be connect to it?

Again felicitations for the Great job the Apollo Tesm is doing :thumbsup

Congratulations.
Cyclone V is an interesting upgrade over the old Cyclone III. It will also allow improvements to the current 68080. Several cores? SPU? I expect an adjusted price. ;-)

Currently we "only" see USBs, Ethernet, DB9 and a bit more powerfull CPU clockrate.
From Riva tests, I assume VampireNG is V4

A500 + VampireV2 68080@78 MHz  == 47.5 FPS
A500 + VampireNG 68080@93 MHz  == 61.7 FPS

  Boards only. But cases are open for free alternatives :-)
  So there certainly is a secondary market to Vampire standalones ...

  My vote is still for great Loriano and his x500 evo that got a plus in design! A500 style case, customizable LEDs, Cherry keyboard that can be customized to suit anyones needs, space for slim DVD, 2.5" HDD or SSD, even low profile gfx card. I worry about Vampire connectors and much unneeded space, but maybe he could make some A600 size A1200 design style smaller edition :-)
