Congratulations, I'm still waiting for any info. I ordered the card as a gift for the middle of may, but I think I can forget the idea.

Best of all, and maybe David Wright was the exception to the 7-day rule, is that my accelerator card arrived on "Seis de Mayo" (May 6th, day after Cinco de Mayo). That's just EIGHT days since the shipment notification! ;-)

When people set up shoppe, they hope the bell rings because the door is opening and a potential customer is coming in....

Here we have people kicking in the doors to get at the "goods" on offer!!!!

Let's all hope that it can start working more like this from now on.... But accept that, their doors ARE being knocked off their hinges due to the mass of interested parties flooding in! :-)))

"Serenity, now." ;-)

Just think we get to go through the process again when the V1200 is offered for sale, and again for the standalone board, and again...

They haven't seen the last of me. I like computer toys! ;-)

I suspect that a number of people will buy multiple variations of the Vampire and their successors.

If you paid already, the only list you should be on is the shipped list.

Same here, no info, no response from Brian about the shipping status.

Something seems to be not on schedule and it would be nice to inform us about the situation.

payed the 27/3 and have not recieved any info about it being shipped or anything so im guessing he have not gotten around to our batch yet.

So yeah seems micheal R who payed 23rd got his a while back and we who payed 25th-27th have not, so probably different batch and we missed the cuttoff :p

The Vampire 600v2 is made to order in batches after payment (without payment up front there would be no way to fund production, the risks if only one person was paying for the whole batch them-self would be too great for that individual). Just gathering the payment can take a while so if you pay promptly there may be others that take time to get the rest of the ball rolling. After payment it takes time to arrange for the boards to be manufactured and shipped from China (?) to Canada, then they need finishing off with hand customised PLCC CPU sockets, programming and extensive testing before they can be packed and shipped and and only then have the order status updated to shipped. I think the latest batch of Vampire 600v2 boards reached kipper2k about a week ago see EXTERNAL LINK

Got my Vampire V2 600 today, and its really great.  :-)
But my lcd tv wont Accept 50hz mode, like 1280x720.
800x600 Works just fine, becasue its in 60Hz.
Can the Vampire card put out 1280x720 60Hz?

Limitations on the video output.
That resolution may never work, I couldn't do it.

Mine is about the same as yours.

1280x720 @ 50 Hz is a DIGITAL-VIDEO standard signal.
Every TV has to support this.

Yes, the Vampire can put out 1280x720 60Hz.
But you might have problems with it.
It depends on your card, the TV, complete combination if this looks good or bad for you.

Did you try 960x540 ?
How does this look?

Got 960x540 to work with some tweaking in Picasso96Mode.
It looks Nice and seems stable, have set the frequenzies to: 40khz and 72Hz. did this in 24bit colodepth, are there any point to use 32bit?
It seems like my Samsung TV have a rather narrow frequenzie range.
I managed to get 1280x720 50Hz up With some tweaking with Picasso96Mode. But it dosent seems stable, it goes blank when I try to start a prg like ADPro or some other activity in WB and now and then it have some noice in the screen. 800x600 60Hz are stable.

Really 72 Hz ?
I would recommend to run it in 60Hz or even better in 50Hz.
As LCD "buffer" the screen more Hz will not improve the Workbench.

I'm an old Amiga user, and this is something I have forgotten.
But ofc you are right, but the strange thing is that when I reduced it to 60Hz it became unstable. Screen goes black for a sec now and then.
I have found a stable 720P for my TV-LCD screen.
62,43Mhz and 43khz-58Hz.
It looks amazing, must be some of the best display systems for the Amiga.
