The V4 Cores now allow to boot from Floppy Images.
This allows you to play games and run demos this way.
You can also of course use this to install a legacy OS.

Your are not limited with this to DOS disk, but also NDOS disks
with long tracks, and other copy protections are supported.

Cool!

Now as in, already available in the latest core versions, or in an upcoming core?

And how to operate / where to store disk images. I'd love some more info.

You can load a diskimage from SDcard, or from HD.
And then boot from it.

Sorry, it's still a bit vague :)

Are you talking about standard adf mounting within AmigaOS, what you can do on any Amiga already?
Or do we have to put the floppy images on a separate partition/memory card? And how do we select the image to boot from, etc.

Is it in the current 8949 core?
